有關氣功術語 Qigong terms and phrases
元極(YuanJi): original extremities. It means the beginning of life.
元精(YuanJing): Original Essence. The fundamental and original substance inherited from one’s parents and converted into Original Qi. Alternative names are: 金公 JinGong; 玉免YuTu
元氣(YuanQi): Original Qi
元神(YuanShen): original spirit. Alternative names are: 金鳥 JinNiao;
玉門(YuMen): jade gate, the third eye
玉免(YuTu): jade rabbit, refers to 元精 the original essence
玉枕(YuZhen): jade pillow, one of the three gates of Small Circulation
玉池(YuChi): jade pond
陰交(YinJiao): Yin junction, the junction of two vessels, Conception Vessel and Thrusting Vessel.
陰經(YinJin): Yin primary Qi Channel
陰神(YinShen): Yin Shen, the Yin center of the Upper Dan Tian
真丹田 the real Dan Tian, the lower Dantian; the physical center of gravity
陽間(YangJian): Yang world, the material world in which we live
晏息(YanXi): meditation or profound breathing
陽經(YangJing): Yang primary Qi channel
陽精 (YangJing): Yang Essence
陽明(YangMing): Yang brightness
陽泉(YangQuan): Yang Fountain, the Yang center of the real lower Dan Tian
中丹田(ZhongDanTian): middle Dan Tian. Located in the area of the solar plexus, it is the residence of fire Qi. Alternative names are: 絳宮XianGong; 黃庭Huang Ting; 金闕JinQue; 土府TuFu
中宮(ZhongGong): central palace. the space between the legs
中乘(ZhongCheng): Praktika; the middle way; the middle conveyance
真氣(ZhenQi): real Qi
真人(ZhenRen): real person or truthful person. One of Daoism life objectives is to be truthful and therefore called “truthful man”.
真息(ZhenXi): real breathing
真一(ZhenYi): real one; real singularity; real singleness
真元(ZhenYuan): real origins, refers to 元精Yuan Jing, 元氣Yuan Qi, and 元神 Yuan Shen
走火(ZouHuo): fire deviation. It means the Qi is led to the wrong path.
走火入魔(ZouHuoRuMo): walk into the fire and enter the demon. This means the Qi has entered the wrong path and the mind has entered a delusional state.
坐功(ZuoGong): sitting Gong; sitting meditation;
坐禪(ZuoChan): sitting meditation; meditation; to sit for Chan
踵息(ZhongXi): sole breathing
